Visiting Information & Restrictions

Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis by SJCG's care team for persons whose condition has deteriorated and is approaching end-of-life (generally within 24-72 hours).

St. Joseph's Hospital

Starting on July 2, 2020, St. Joseph's Hospital is taking the first steps towards easing visitor restrictions by allowing Essential Visits. All clients will be considered for Essential Visits using best practices related to the current COVID-19 environment.

Visiting will take place between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm on alternating days. The hospital will balance the need to mitigate risk to clients, staff and visitors, with the mental, physical, and spiritual needs of clients for their quality of life.

The Care Team will be contacting clients and their family to identify the individual who will provide essential supports to the client.

Essential Visitors will be asked to confirm their identity with photo identification when they arrive at the Main Entrance screening desk (located at the top of the Algoma Street accessible parking lot, or from the 2nd level of the Waterfront Parkade).

Long-Term Care Home

Scheduled outdoor visits are available for residents of Hogarth Riverview Manor and Bethammi Nursing Home. See the following documents for additional information:

Seniors' Suportive Housing

One visitor per tenant is allowed at PR Cook Apartments and Sister Leila Greco Apartments.
