Vision
The Research Department will support, develop, and conduct research to create new knowledge in the areas of: Complex Care, Physical Rehabilitation, Mental Health, Addictions, and Long Term Care with a particular focus on prevention and treatment issues. A key function of the Research Department is to effectively disseminate this knowledge to relevant stakeholders.
Objectives
1. Research
- To develop and submit research proposals to external funding agencies.
- To conduct research focused on the needs of clients in the areas of prevention, treatment and service delivery.
- To disseminate our research findings to relevant stakeholders through presentations and publications.
2. Capacity Building
- To facilitate the research of others through education, consultation and collaboration.
- To provide opportunities for dissemination.
- To provide supervision and mentoring to students/colleagues.
3. Program Evaluation
- To provide consultation and/or facilitation in the area of program evaluation.
4. Research Services
- To support the increasing activities of the research ethics review process.
- To identify, develop and implement administrative policies and procedures to support research within St Joseph's Care Group.
