You need a referral from your physician to be seen in this clinic. Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a multi-disciplinary program of care that is designed to help improve the health and quality of life for people who are affected by moderate or severe Chronic Lung Diseases such as: Chronic Bronchitis, Emphysema, COPD, Bronchiectasis, Pulmonary Fibrosis and other lung conditions.
If you are acutely ill, have another serious condition that may interfere with your safe participation and/or are still smoking; you won’t be eligible for this program. The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program is an 8-week outpatient program that meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1 pm to 4 pm. Through education and exercise, our goals are to enhance your quality of life, reduce the intensity of your shortness of breath, improve your ability to perform daily activities, help you understand your condition, provide you with social and emotional support, prevent or reduce hospital admissions and physician visits, increase your self-confidence and self-reliance in managing your lung disease and symptoms. A Respirologist oversees this program.
