Psychogeriatric Resource Consultant Program

The Psychogeriatric Resource Consultant Program supports mental health agencies and long term care homes in Thunder Bay and District by providing education and training as well as clinical consultation to agency staff.

About the Program

The Psychogeriatric Resource Consultant Program was developed through the Strategy for Alzheimer Disease and Related Dementia initiative sponsored by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. In addition to providing education and consultation, the PRC participates in network development and provides continued support to the Dementia Network for Thunder Bay and the District. One PRC serves Thunder Bay and the District.

Who is the Psychogeriatric Resource Consultant (PRC)

The PRC is a knowledgeable and experienced regulated healthcare professional that utilizes evidence-based best practices and the P.I.E.C.E.S framework when providing services.
