The IME provides the referent with timely information with respect to specific questions being asked.
What does an IME include?
During the evaluation, the assessor will review pertinent medical history, treatment to date, and conduct a physical examination. Assessors for IMEs may be an orthopedic surgeon, physiotherapist, psychologist, physiatrist, and chiropractor, among others.
When will the report be completed?
Reports are submitted to the referent within five to ten business days of the evaluation.
