Orthopedic Physiotherapy & Orthopaedic Occupational Therapy Services
This service, located on the main floor of the St. Joseph’s Hospital site, provides physiotherapy and occupational therapy for clients and families requiring assessment, treatment and education in order to relieve pain and restore maximum function. Six physiotherapists, one occupational therapist and one rehabilitation assistant work in this service.
This service is designed for those who have had recent orthopaedic surgeries, including joint replacement, as well as recent acute injuries and fractures. Infants with torticollis are also seen. Occupational therapy also provides treatment following hand and foot surgeries, as well as treatment for acute injuries and fractures.
This outpatient service is offered Monday to Friday, with some extended hours available.
To access this service, a physician referral is required. It can be mailed to St. Joseph’s Care Group or faxed to Central Registration.
