Orthopedic Rehabilitation
Orthopedic Rehabilitation at St. Joseph's Hospital provides outpatient Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy for orthopedic conditions (fractures, post-surgical, acute injuries) for individuals living in Northwestern Ontario. Referrals are accepted from a Physician or Nurse Practitioner. There is no cost for therapy services, however, items such as orthotics and braces can be purchased from the program.
Amputee Clinic
The Amputee Clinic is a multidisciplinary clinic for clients requiring assessment for suitability for a prosthesis. The clinic is held weekly by a Physician, Physiotherapist, Prosthetist, Occupational Therapist and Social Worker. Clients are required to be 15 years of age, live in Northwestern Ontario and want information about a prosthesis and prosthetic training. Clients can self-refer or be referred by their healthcare provider.
