Manor House Adult Day Program

The Manor House Adult Day Program is a social and recreational program designed for individuals living with dementia. It supports participants in maintaining their physical and cognitive health, helping them live well in the community. By providing meaningful engagement for clients and essential respite for care partners, the program may help delay the expression of the need for long-term care.

Personal care, including support for incontinence, is provided as needed. Medications are administered when required. Nutritious lunch and snacks are served daily. For those who require it, staff accompany clients on specialized transit to and from their homes, ensuring a safe and supported experience.

Are there any costs?

A daily fee applies, with an additional charge for transportation services if needed.

How does our program benefit clients and care partners?

The Manor House Adult Day Program supports individuals living with dementia by encouraging a social, active lifestyle that enhances cognitive health and overall wellbeing. Participants form meaningful connections with others facing similar experiences, fostering a sense of purpose, belonging, and community. The program meets essential needs such as companionship, engaging activities, and emotional support.

Manor House Activities

In addition to social and recreational activities, the program provides cognitive stimulation through structured mental exercises and creative opportunities, which can help slow cognitive decline and improve mood. A safe and supportive environment ensures participants can engage confidently, while consistent routines help reduce anxiety and confusion.

Care partners benefit by having time to rest, recharge, and care for their own health. This helps them stay emotionally balanced, maintain social connections, and complete personal tasks they may have set aside. The program also offers education and resources to care partners, empowering them with knowledge and strategies to better support their loved ones.

An important feature of the program is access to a dedicated Social Worker who offers guidance and support to participants and care partners alike. This includes facilitating support groups and connecting families with additional community resources, ensuring comprehensive assistance throughout the care journey.

Using the Manor House Adult Day Program can be a vital step toward accepting support, helping make caregiving more manageable and sustainable over time.
