For Bethammi Nursing Home and Hogarth Riverview Manor visitors
If you are feeling unwell, please postpone your visit until feeling better.
What is Antigen Testing?
An antigen test (also known as a point-of-care test) takes approximately 15 minutes to yield a result. The antigen testing used by Oak Medical Arts will collect a sample using a lower nasal swab.
Positive Antigen Test Result
If your antigen test is positive, the Health Unit will be notified and you will need to book an appointment with the Assessment Centre for a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) nasopharyngeal test. You will receive further direction from public health if the PCR is positive. If the PCR is negative, you will need to show a new negative antigen test on day of entry.
Antigen Test Provider
Antigen testing is provided by Oak Medical Arts at four sites across Thunder Bay. They have a designated phone number (807) 344-4078 to book appointments, change or cancel appointments or ask questions. As well, you can book online using the links in the table below. There is no cost for antigen testing for Visitors to Bethammi Nursing Home or Hogarth Riverview Manor.
Proof of Testing
After your first antigen test and at the beginning of each month, you will receive an Oak Medical Rapid Antigen ‘passport’, identifying all of your tests throughout the month. Present this information at screening
