Infection Control Signage
Precautions are used to help reduce the risk of transmission to health care workers, clients and visitors in certain instances. Visitors should report to nursing station before entering any room with a precaution sign.

Private Room - Door Closed at all times. N95 Mask required for all activities in the room. Client to wear mask when outside room. Everyone must perform hand hygiene before leaving the room. |
DROPLET Precautions |
Private or Semi Private Room. Everyone must perform hand hygiene before leaving the room. Wear a fluide resistant mask with face shield for activities within 1 metre of the client. Limite transport of client outside room. Client to wear a mask when outside the room. |
CONTACT Precautions |
Everyone must perform hand hygiene before leaving room. Wear gloves when providing direct care. Remove gloves before leaving the room. Wear a gown when providing direct care. Remove gown before leaving the room. Limit transport of client outside room. |
