Date: 2009-11-05

St. Joseph's Care Group (SJCG) is committed to the health and safety of our clients, staff and volunteers. In response to the increased flu activity, SJCG will be screening visitors for H1N1 symptoms beginning Friday, November 6, 2009. All people, including staff and clients, must use the main entrance.

Screening will take place at:

  • Bethammi Nursing Home (St. Joseph's Heritage), 63 Carrie Street.
  • Hogarth Riverview Manor, Main Entrance, 300 Lillie Street North.
  • Lakehead Psychiatric Hospital, Main Entrance, 580 Algoma Street North.
  • St. Joseph's Hospital, South Entrance from parking lot, 35 Algoma Street North.

Clients with outpatient appointments who have a fever and/or a new or worsening cough should call the program before attending to determine if their appointment should be rescheduled.

St. Joseph's Care Group currently has no confirmed or suspected cases of H1N1. We ask that visitors exhibiting a fever of 38°C (100.4°F) or higher and/or a new or worsening cough please do not enter our facilities. Visitor restrictions will be posted on our website if implemented.
