Making a Difference: 2010 Showcase of Health Research

The Research Department at St. Joseph's Care Group (SJCG) hosted a research conference called "Making a Difference: 2010 Showcase of Health Research" on Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Best Western Nor'Wester Resort Hotel.
Dr. Michel Bédard, Director of Research, SJCG, said "Since 2006 the Research Department at St. Joseph's Care Group has hosted what has become the premier annual venue for the dissemination of research relevant to the health of Northwestern Ontarians. We enjoyed the opportunity to bringing together health professionals, students and scientists to discuss health research."
During the Showcase participants:
- Learned about health research relevant to Northwestern Ontarians;
- Had the occasion to discuss with others how to incorporate research into clinical practice; and
- Were offered the opportunity to network and develop research partnerships.
Tracy Buckler, President & CEO, SJCG, says "We are honoured to host this conference for the fifth consecutive year. One of the priorities in our strategic plan is to define and foster progressive, innovative teaching and research identities. The Research Showcase provides an ideal forum to share research findings and promote research partnerships in Northwestern Ontario."
