Making a Difference: 2012 Showcase of Health Research

The Research Department hosted the seventh annual "Making a Difference: 2012 Showcase of Health Research" on Friday, February 3, 2012 at the Best Western Nor'Wester Resort Hotel.

There were just under 150 registrants which included clinicians, healthcare professionals, students and researchers from St. Joseph's Care Group, numerous academic institutions, and a variety of healthcare organizations. This year we were pleased to have Dr. Michel Bédard, Scientific Director at St. Joseph's Care Group, as the keynote speaker. The title of his address was "Seniors Caring for Seniors: Understanding Their Situation and Charting a Path for the Future." This was followed by seven oral presentations and 19 poster presentations for participants to view. The Showcase provided the opportunity for networking and discussion of research relevant to the health of Northwestern Ontarians.
