As part of St. Joseph’s Care Group’s Catholic tradition, a Blessing Ceremony was held at the Sister Leila Greco Apartments (SLGA) on Wednesday, June 25, 2014.

We were thrilled to have all members of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Sault Ste Marie Leadership Team in attendance from North Bay, our local Sisters, many tenants of SLGA, as well as respresentatives from SJCG's Board of Directors and Leadership Team. The Blessing was conducted by the Most Reverend Frederick Colli, Bishop of Thunder Bay.

The Sister Leila Greco Apartments were named to honour Sister Leila's long history and service to the community of Thunder Bay. It was Sister Leila's vision that St. Joseph’s Heritage was built in 1979 as “A Place for All Seasons,” many years ahead of its time. St. Joseph’s Heritage has become a landmark in the city and home to hundreds over the last 33 years. As a tribute to her legacy of care, a photo of Sister Leila will be placed in the tenants’ lounge in her honour.
