An Important Message from St. Joseph's Care Group's Board of Directors
Date: 2023-03-10
Kelli O'Brien, President & CEO of St. Joseph's Care Group, is resigning. We are grateful that Kelli will continue in the role of President & CEO while the Board of Directors conducts an executive search and recruitment process, expected to be completed in summer 2023.
Kelli joined St. Joseph's Care Group in September 2021, and has consistently led impactful change characterized by our core values of Care, Compassion & Commitment. During her tenure, St. Joseph's Care Group continued to move forward with new and innovative ways of delivering care, always with partnerships and relationships at the core. There have been many accomplishments under Kelli's leadership, with highlights including the awarding of Accreditation with Exemplary Standing in 2022 and the launch of Wiidosem Dabisandizowin: Walking with Humilty 2 - Looking to the Southern Direction. The 2022 Catholic Health Alliance of Canada Conference was pivotal. Hosted jointly by Fort William First Nation and St. Joseph's Care Group, the Conference incorporated ceremony and truth telling, catalyzing change among and within Catholic healthcare providers, demonstrating and modeling ways to move forward with humility in reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples.
I know that this was a difficult decision for Kelli. Please join me in wishing Kelli all of the very best as she returns to her home in Newfoundland.
Sincerely,
Susan Fraser
Chair, St. Joseph's Care Group's Board of Directors
