As of Monday, June 20, 2022, rapid antigen testing will no longer be required for visitors to St. Joseph's Hospital.
If you are feeling unwell, please postpone your visit until feeling better.
All Essential Visitors entering St. Joseph’s Hospital are required to complete a self-administered Rapid Antigen Test twice per calendar week prior to entering the building. The test is to be spaced-out during the week when visiting regularly and immediately prior to infrequent visits. Testing should not be completed two days in a row.
Test kits can be obtained free of charge in our community from most pharmacies, Metro, and Walmart locations free of charge. Find a location giving out free boxes near you.
Instructions are located in each test kit as well instructions on “How to Self Test using COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test Device” are attached for reference.
You will need to show proof of a negative test to enter the building, and have two options to do so.
In the event, you have had COVID-19 within the last 90 days, you will not be required to test within that timeframe. In the event, you test COVID-19 positive, please follow the instructions provided by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.
Thank you for your continued support to keep our clients, visitors and staff safe.
