Visiting Clients at St. Joseph's Hospital - Update!
Date: 2020-07-02 [Revised: 2020-07-13]
Starting on July 2, 2020, St. Joseph's Hospital is taking the first steps towards easing visitor restrictions by allowing Essential Visits. All clients will be considered for Essential Visits using best practices related to the current COVID-19 environment.
Visiting will take place between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm on alternating days [Starting Monday, July 13, 2020, aternating days will no longer apply]. The hospital will balance the need to mitigate risk to clients, staff and visitors, with the mental, physical, and spiritual needs of clients for their quality of life.
The Care Team will be contacting clients and their family to identify the individual who will provide essential supports to the client.
Essential Visitors will be asked to confirm their identity with photo identification when they arrive at the Main Entrance screening desk (located at the top of the Algoma Street accessible parking lot, or from the 2nd level of the Waterfront Parkade).
