Neurostimulation Clinic
The Neurostimulation Clinic provides Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) treatment for people living with treatment resistant depression.
One third of people with depression do not respond to medication. rTMS is recognized as an effective therapeutic tool for the treatment major depression.
rTMS involves applying a series of short magnetic pulses to brain regions affected in mental illness. The pulses stimulate brain cells in the targeted areas in order to restore healthy activity patterns
The Clinic is located at St. Joseph’s Health Centre located on Victoria Avenue East and is currently accepting referrals.
Referrals for rTMS treatment are accepted from Primary Care Providers.
