Addiction Treatment for Pornography & Sex

What is it?

Problematic sexual behaviour, which has also been called “sexual addiction” or “hypersexuality”, refers to sexual feelings, urges, and behaviours that are experienced as being out of control and are causing distress. It should be noted that one person’s out-of-control sexual behaviour might be another person’s “normal” behaviour. If you are questioning whether your sexual behaviours are problematic, our counsellors can help.

Please note: For those who have been charged with a sexual offense and/or are involved in illegal sexual acts, we will refer elsewhere. For more information please call us.

PATHOS Questionnaire
PATHOS Questionnaire*
  • Do you often find yourself preoccupied with sexual thoughts?
  • Do you hide some of your sexual behaviour from others?
  • Have you ever sought help for sexual behaviour you did not like?
  • Has anyone been hurt emotionally because of your sexual behaviour?
  • Do you feel controlled by your sexual desire?
  • When you have sex, do you feel depressed afterwards?

Answering "yes" to at least 3 of these questions may indicate that your behaviour is problematic.

If you would like help, please contact us.
