Mental Health Rehabilitation Program
The Mental Health Rehabilitation Program provides services for individuals across Northwestern Ontario experiencing serious mental illness that interferes significantly with their daily living and functioning. The Mental Health Rehabilitation Program follows a client-centered care approach and psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery model of care including concepts of chronic disease self-management. The team partners with clients to facilitate their mental health recovery by offering goal-orientated programs and transition to community living. The Mental Health Rehabilitation Program is located on the 1st and 2nd floors of the East Wing at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Mental Health Rehabilitation Programs
The Mental Health Rehabilitation Program is a 40-bed inpatient program specializing in post-acute mental health rehabilitation and psychosocial rehabilitation service provision to clients with severe, persistent, chronic and/or reoccurring mental illness who are 18 years of age or older. The program offers an interprofessional team approach and wide range of skill and community development opportunities for clients to maintain, develop, or increase their current skills and community connections based on their personal rehabilitation goals.
